It had been a year and four months since my last colonoscopy and I had been telling my Oncologist that my memory just hasn't been there since the Chemo, and for some illogical reason, there are some people that find this topic debatable, but I think that this story will finally cure all who may have doubts in this area.

My colonoscopy was scheduled for Thursday, a most unpleasant business, as you might know. It involves a liquid diet and some serious laxative, that keeps one close to home, a day prior to the procedure. So, I was dutifully going about this business of drinking this awful tasting laxative, forcing it down, trying not to throw it up and thinking that straight vodka would be easier to drink then this. It was also dutifully working as I was staying close to the bathroom,and after an entire day of this, my husband came in with what he called "good news", now that is also a debatable topic, depending on which end of this story one happens to be on, but he found this good news quite amusing.

"Well I have some good news and that is that you can eat supper" he says. "No I can't" I replied, and then he said, "Yes you can, because tomorrow is Wednesday you silly woman, and you are supposed to start taking the laxative tomorrow if you go in on Thursday".

Now, being I don't know of anyone who would clean out their system two days in a row, just to prove that their memory was not at its best, I feel that the truth about my memory, came out in the end.
