India- Temple Elephant and Diwali

The temple elephant He lives behind my house Scratching Scratching post goat hanging out with the elephant tryin to reach the greenest grass elephant elephant Diwali-10 elephant procession make way, elephant coming through lined up and ready to go at the temple gold and silk headdress posing for a picture waiting for the parade to start here they come with pom poms and music it was an incredible so many people, so many elephants Diwali is the festival of lights I found myself surrounded by children! Look at that smile! hiding behing mom there he is! beautiful elephants mama and baby baby is just a little bit overwhelmed by snack time these are made out of peacock feathers getting ready to perform wave those pom poms hanging out I can't believe the elephants weren't frightened the kids were fabulous sometimes I wondered if the white people were more of a show than the elephants performance Sibyl's last day The lanscape out the car window on the way Beautiful! I can't believe I live here! The Backwaters of Kerala Rice Paddies Palm Trees!
