Peel and core pears. Cut into chunks and measure 9 cups. Put into the Cuisinart and process until the consistence of applesauce.
Combine pears, pineapple, sugar, lime zest and juice in a large saucepot and cook, uncovered over low heat, stirring often, for 25 minutes. This will be the consistency of honey. (Or, you can cook 45 minutes over medium heat, stirring fairly constantly as it becomes thicker, to make a more jam-like product.)
Ladle into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Wipe rime. Process in a boiling water canner for 10 minutes.
