Pit each date and remove stem, if present. Cut a slit into each date.

Heat the whipping cream in the microwave and add the chocolate. Allow to sit a few minutes so the chocolate will melt. Stir until smooth, microwaving more if needed.

Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each date with chocolate cream. Nestle an almond in the cream to resemble the pit.

Refrigerate, but bring to room temperature before serving.

Notes: Can also be made using 24 small dates, but you will need a sharp-tipped piping tip.
