Adam and Eve: Fall Into Grace!

We explored the story of Adam and Eve and their life in the Garden of Eden. We learned about sin, separation from God and the promise of Jesus' coming so we could be friends with God again!

In Bible Quest we did science experiments.
We learned how sin separates us from God.
And how Jesus came to bring us together with God again.
We added vinegar (sin) to milk and watched what happened.
It made yucky chunks.
But we turned those chunks into useful paste...
Just like God can use bad things to bring about good!
In Cyber Space we explored the story on the computers.
We used Awesome Bible Stories software.
We always enjoy using the computers.
It's a great way to learn!
In Holy Word Theatre we watched a movie, then journaled our thoughts.
In Raiders of the Lost Art we learned how we are made in God's image.
We decorated wooden crosses...
with mirrors to show how we should reflect God's image.
We painted the crosses...
and added sparkly jewels to them.
It was lots of fun!
All of our crosses were different.... just like us!
Do you like them?
Mrs. Julie took our picture with our crosses!
We were made to reflect God's wisdom, mercy and love!
In Sunday Morning Live we listened to the story....
We were "frozen statues." We took turns putting one another in position...
to tell the story. Then we took pictures of each scene.
"Adam" walks in the garden listening to God.
The snake tempts "Eve."
Eve... don't listen!
Uh, oh! Eve takes a bite of the fruit.
Oh, no! Eve eats the fruit!
And offers it to Adam...
Adam takes it too...
And he takes a bite, too!
Adam and Eve realize they are naked!
So they make clothes out of fig leaves...
trying to cover up their sin....
Do you try to hide the wrong things you do?
Adam and Eve felt guilty...
and the fig leaves were scratchy and uncomfortable!
The snake made me eat.... She made me do it....
God made soft clothes from animal skins for Adam and Eve.
But they had to leave their beautiful garden forever.
And God placed an angel with a flaming sword at the entrance.
They could never return to the Garden of Eden.
In Solid Rock Cafe we studied the story in our Bibles.
Mrs. Tracie leads discussion.
Then we made fruit turnovers! YUM!
