Ruth and Naomi: Women of Faith
During our Ruth and Naomi Rotation, we learned about the remarkable faithfulness and love of Ruth, a foreigner from Moab.

Bible Quest: K-3 graders
4-6 graders explore the story in their Bibles.
We played a matching game with pictures that told about the story.
I'm supposed to lie down at his feet?
"Ruth" uncovers Boaz's feet.... what will he think?
K-3 graders learn about gleaning.
and what it takes to seal a bargain in Old Testament times.
Boaz and the other relative bargain for Ruth's hand.
4-6 graders played a game on our game wheel to review the lesson.
K-3 graders played "Go Glean."
We made our own cards with pictures from the story.
And played it like "Go Fish."
Do you have any "Boaz's?"
In Cyber Space, we explored the story using Amazing Expedition Bible.
Then we pretended to be Ruth and wrote letters home to Moab...
...describing all our adventures.
In Moved by the Spirit, we used music to explore Ruth's journey.
We talked about the importance and meaning of names.
We discussed Ruth and Naomi's feelings about what happened to them.
In Raiders of the Lost Art we bundled sheaves of wheat.
We tied them together with raffia, added a heart and the memory verse.
K-3 graders work on their projects.
Ruth's story is about friendship!
And faithfulness and love!
Getting in costume in Sunday Morning Live!
Do you like my outfit?
How about mine?
In Solid Rock Cafe we made Boaz's Banana Muffins!
Mashing bananas and stirring flour.
Cracking the eggs.... adding another....
and another....
Oops! How many eggs did you say we needed?
K-3 graders stir the dry ingredients.
And pass it on to give others a turn.
Taking turns with the stirring.
More mixing and stirring and watching....
Cooking teaches us to be patient, too!
Everyone gets a chance to mix it up!
These are going to be so tasty!
Mrs. Lisa checks our progress.
Ready for the final mixing!
...using the electric mixer.
Kids in the kitchen!
Isn't this great?
