On the Road to Emmaus... Our Easter Rotation focused on Jesus' appearance to his disciples on the road to Emmaus... We talked about "seeing" Jesus and walking with him!

In our Art workshop we decorated door hangers with feet... ....and other Christian symbols. We wrote parts of the Memory verse on them, too. What should I write? My finished door hanger! In Bible Quest we did science experiments. Which bottle has the coin? Can a coin fit through this small hole? Is seeing really believing? We talked about the different ways we "see." Focusing our eyes on Jesus... means we see with more than just our eyes.... We also see with our minds and our hearts. This image of Jesus will remind us to see with more than our eyes. In CyberSpace we used Kid Pix... to make our own "hidden pictures" of Jesus. FUN! In Moved by the Spirit, we experienced the story.... Godly Play-style. In Solid Rock Cafe, we made bread. We talked about how Jesus' disciples recognized him.... when they broke bread together. We talked about Communion... and how we see Jesus when we take Communion. Rolling out the dough. It's FUN to cook in Sunday school! Deciding what symbol to create with the dough... Do you like my cross? I made a fish.... and another cross.... a completed cross... a heart... In HolyWord Theatre we watched a movie about the story. Ready for the show to begin! Sharing popcorn! Reflecting on the story using our Journals.
