10/23/04 "After the Bubble" is the first time I have ever been caught scheduled to give a seminar and lacking a paper--it just hasn't get written, largely because writing it is hard. The itch I am trying to scratch is my dissatisfaction with all the people arguing that Alan Greenspan, by lowering interest rates so far in 2001, has created a housing bubble that has left us in worse shape than we would be in had he acted aggressively in 1998-2000 to break the dot-com bubble by raising interest rates then.
