The Long Journey Home Group now runs under the name of HeadSpace & exhibitions organised by HeadSpace can be found at HeadSpace@EggSpace

The Long Journey Home Group had exhibitions from July 2004 - May 2006 & was founded by Karen Henley & Jazamin Sinclair. Jo Derbyshire, Carolyn Sinclair & Jackie Stevens later got involved in helping to organise & promote the shows.

The group have exhibited twice in shows called: The Long Journey Home 1 & The Long Journey Home 2 at Art SpeQ, Quiggins, once in a show called: Superkalifragilisticexpialidocous at The Kif & once in a show called: What Came First? at EggSpace in association with HeadSpace@EggSpace. (See below for more information.)

The group is made up of a group of nearly 100 artists from all over the globe and artists from all different age ranges, including children. The name The Long Journey Home Group was chosen by Louise Taylor. The reason the group is called The Long Journey Home Group is to try to convey the message that when people exhibit with this group they may have a 'Long Journey' back home if they come to Liverpool or to the UK. The Group has only exhibited so far in Liverpool, where it all began but we are hoping to exhibit in different parts of the UK as well as abroad in the future. This means then that any artists from the group may have to travel to different parts of the UK or abroad in order to exhibit, hence again, 'The Long Journey Home'.

There are hopes of exhibitions happening in Bristol, London, Cardiff, Liverpool & America at the moment, these shows will be organised with help from various members of the group who live in these areas. As the group is made up of so many artists, they do not always all exhibit in every show we have, but when they can they do. If you want to get involved contact: Jazamin Sinclair. Watch this space for more information.

At ART SpeQ Gallery, Quiggins (alternative market in Liverpool) I was invited to show work in July and August, 2004 as part of two group shows that I helped to curate and organise, approximately 40 artists were involved, 19 artists showed work at the first exhibition and 28 showed in the second exhibition.

The second private view was on 10 August, 2004 and the first was on 10 July, 2004 with an after show party in The Brook Cafe organised with help from aesthetix.

Nerve Magazine previewed and reviewed The Long Journey Home, click on the links below for more details about the shows.
