1. Do I give extra credit?
The short answer is no. I build in a few classwork grades each nine weeks that will reward your participation, and I consider these the closest I come to "extra credit". Please keep track of your current grade on your check sheet so that you will always know where you stand. Prepare for tests and quizzes at home a little each night and during homeroom. Exemplarily scholarship and effort above and beyond the call of duty will be rewarded with individual, class, and school-wide recognition and sometimes prizes. Be organized, participate in class, do your homework, and I am confident you will not need extra credit.
2. Is tutoring and extra help available?
Yes, yes, yes! I am in my room at 8:15 every Friday to review anything we've covered in Language Arts. In addition, school wide Language Arts tutoring is available every morning except Monday. Times and locations are posted in the classroom. If you need help, ASK ME! I am committed to helping you learn and will do whatever I can to help you help yourself succeed!
