Below you will find a sample of quotes from emails I have received from former students whom I have taught with TPR & TPRS (I attribute their successes to these methods not to my teaching)
Jason Fritze, you may not remember me, but I am absolutely excited to have found your e-mail. My name is T. M., well was Munsey, I’m P. now, and I was a student of yours from ’98 to ’01 at Norman High. I had blond hair, blue eyes and I was in both your French and Spanish class. You might remember me because I spent most of my overtime with you studying in your class, and even went back for help when I was at OKCCC. Anyway, how have you been? How is your new school? Well, I guess it’s not new anymore. I saw one of the Spanish teachers from NHS at my old job and she gave me your e-mail. I heard you were doing a lot of conventions and workshops nation-wide now. Congrats!!! I also heard you were in Oklahoma not long ago and I was really sorry to have missed you. You won’t believe this but one of my Spanish professors knows you. Oh ya, I’m still into Spanish, it’s my major. I work as a translator, too! Anyway, the Professor is L.C. Do you remember him! ? I have had him now for like 2 years for different classes and I have him one more time next Spring. At that level all my teachers are the same! He asked how I got into Spanish, and I told him you were my inspiration, and that you opened the door for me to a world of languages. He said you were one of his best students he’s ever had. HeHe. So how is your life? Are you still teaching full-time? You’re in the north aren’t you? I’m good, just studying for the French CLEP I have to take in December to graduate. I haven’t studied French since ’01! But I still remember a lot, and it’s pretty much all coming back to me now. So write me back and tell me all about how you’ve been! Bye-Bye, T.
