Can the Australian Writers' Guild rescue our story tellers from a slow digital death?

Australians love to watch specifically "Australian" stories on television. But Australian writers need assistance to discover the networks and skills needed for the digital era, lest the industry become a sad knot of left behind "also-rans". Indeed, there are apparently Australian writers who have never ventured into the world of online games or interactive mobisodes. Executive Director of the Australian Writers Guild, Megan Elliott, says there are successful writers who actually do not use any kind of email whatsoever. Maybe the scorching poetic vision of a technology free (perhaps even Luddite) writer will continue to be enough, in itself, to power a literary career. But on the other hand, it could be that the creative arts are evolving quickly to a new mode - one in which it just won't cut the mustard to be a technoclutz.
