Our Mission Statement:
The Karnes County Historical Society has as its primary mission the conservation of our rich and diverse history for the benefit of the public and future generations. We believe that understanding and appreciating our community’s multicultural heritage is vital to the perpetuation of our democratic way of life. We strive to give future generations a better understanding of the historical evolution of Karnes County and its role in Texas history. Our mission will be carried out through research; educational programs for school groups and civic organizastions; interpretive programs at the Karnes County Museum; community events; preservation and interpretation of historic sites, artifacts, and documents; and special projects.
