Without the encouragement, support, and labor of Dale Finseth (Arlen's dad), these trips probably would not have occurred. Every year he cheerfully arrived on raft-assembly day, made endless trips down to the waterfront with heavy raft pieces and gear, and did a good part of the raft assembly. While we were out on a trip, Dale served as our support crew--sending messages to family and friends about our progress, buying us new oar locks, and bringing us fresh fruit and ice cream.

Thank you, Steve, for joining and adding to the fun during parts of the 2000, 2001, and 2003 adventures. We are humbled by your kayaking prowess. (Bowing before you, master of the paddle, at least gives us momentary respite from banging each other over the head with our paddles.)
