About me
Hi. I'm the guy on the left, riding the bicycle.
I enjoy writing software, bicycling, skiing, and surfing.
You might want to hire me to write software; here is my
online portfolio and resume
(back online now after a brief hiatus due to a server upgrade).
Projects
• Excition, Inc.
A graduation announcement business that I run with two of my friends.
• Place Lab at Intel Research Seattle.
A research project to develop a location toolkit for mobile phones, laptops, and pdas
as well as a collection of demo and research applications using the toolkit.
Software
- Cool Stuff
- MacLive: view your Xbox Live friends list on your mac.
- DreamCatcher: an application to spell check web sites.
- WiFiLocate: a demo app that requires zero configuration and offers localization using wifi integrated with google maps
- Mpire Plugin: an extension for Firefox and IE 7 that tells you if the item you're about to buy is a good deal
- CallMap (coming soon): an application for Windows Mobile phones to send your location to people you call and to see the location on a map of people who call you. The idea is to spend more time with friends and less time giving directions.
- Less cool stuff, but still potentially useful
- Recorder: a simple application to record audio for Mac OS X.
- Sortosaurus: a small command line utility to sort bookmarks for the Safari web browser.
- DirectSync: a (now discontinued) application for synchronizing Macintosh computers.
- Floaters: enables window pinning (option click green window widget) and full screen maximization (shift click green window widget) on Mac OS X. Requires Unsanity APE.
- SSHAction: a perl script that bans brute force ssh attackers using ipfw. Growl integration alerts you when users connect via ssh. A startup item for SSHAction is available here.
- Wheel: a small utility to calculate spoke lengths for building bicycle wheels.
- QTSuperImageSequencer: command line qtjava utility to make quicktime movies out of a series of still images.
