By patent. 20th May, 1759, there was granted to Walter Trimble 370 acres on North Branch of Shanandore, which was purchased by Walter's son Robert from Walter, ú95. Delivered: Alex. Kilpatrick, 4th November, 1771.
Five brothers, James, Moses, David, John and Alexander Trimble came to America from Armagh, Ireland, somtime between 1740 and 1744. James and John settled in Augusta County. Page 178, "Annals of Augusta County, Virginia". - [1]
