look at this 5MB drive, so big it needs an aeroplane to move it...

So how big is your hard drive, 100GB, 250GB, 500GB, a TB?

Well in September 1956, fifty years ago, IBM launched the 305 RAMAC, the first computer with a hard disk drive (HDD).



The HDD weighed over a ton and stored 5MB of data.
