Open in New Window


getting more annoyed about it more and more...

One thing that about the web which is getting me a little hot under the collar now and again is the issue of links opening in a new window whether you want them to or not.

I use tabbed browsers more and more now, on the Mac I use Safari, and on a PC I use Firefox, and it does annoy me when I click a link on a website and it opens in a new window. Now if it is an external link I can understand the web designer's thought processes in making the link open in a new window, however where the link is internal as the site map on vodafone.co.uk, I need to ask why? Travel Inn is another website that does something similar.

One weak aspect of Safari is the option to open a link in the same window (which sounds illogical when you think about it, but actually could be useful for these sprouting window links).
