Bluetooth Dongle on a VAIO RZ221 with XP SP2

nice and easy...

D-Link DBT-120 BluetoothHaving installed Windows XP SP2 on a Sony VAIO RZ221 Desktop, I was interested to see how it would now work with Bluetooth, especially as Bluetooth has been intergrated with XP with Service Pack 2.

Using a D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth USB Dongle (originally purchased for the G4 PowerBook) I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and easy it was.

I plugged the USB Dongle into the back of the RZ221, XP sensed it had found new hardware and installed the relevant drivers before announcing in a typical XP manner that my hardware was ready to use.

I checked the Control Panel and there was the Bluetooth icon and double clicking brought up the Bluetooth control window.

I should now be able to send pictures from a T610 phone and sync with my iPaq all via Bluetooth.
