Printing from phone to a printer attached to a Mac


not going to work unless you download to the Mac first...

I got sent the following question by e-mail so I thought I would answer it in the blog.

I was going thru yr blog and have a pretty basic question...

I have a bluetooth enabled imac (osx10.4), a (HP) printer connected by
USB and a bluetooth enabled mobile phone (SE T610). Is it possible to
print from phone to the printer without first downloading whatever is to
be printed to the Mac? If so how can this be done?

As far as I know, no this is not possible.

You can print from a T610 to a Bluetooth enabled printer (such as the HP PhotoSmart 375) but you can not do it direct to a non-Bluetooth enabled printer attached to a Bluetooth enabled Mac.

Note that I don't usually answer questions by e-mail as I don't have the time...
