T68 GPRS connection fails to disconnect
the only thing I can do is to restart the
PowerBook...
When I am at a conference (which doesn't have
wireless access) I often use my T68 and a GPRS connection to access the
internet. The T68 communicates with the PowerBook via Bluetooth. Once setup it
is quite a simple system, plug in the Bluetooth module, using
Internet
Connect on the menu bar to change the modem to
bluetooth-modem
and click
connect.
Sometimes the connection is very stable and sometimes it isn't. Usually the
PowerBook disconnects and then I can
re-connect.However sometimes when the
PowerBook disconnects it doesn't do it properly and therefore
Internet
Connect just hangs and continues to say
disconnecting and never finishes.... the only solution is to switch off and
restart the PowerBook. Forcing Internet
Connect to quit doesn't solve the
problem.
I find it very rare that Mac OS X
crashes, but I haven't quite figured whether this is a Mac issue, a phone issue
or a Bluetooth issue. I have less problems with the Sony VAIO and a similar
setup and therefore I think (for once) it is a Mac OS X issue.
