Keyboard fails...


upgraded to 10.3 and Bluetooth keyboard fails...

I recently upgraded a G5 in the office to 10.3 which has a Bluetooth keyboard and all worked fine. The G5 at home was a real nightmare, so much so that at one point I had to get the USB keyboard out of storage!

The saga started with checking that 10.2.8 was updated before upgrading, so I upgraded to Bluetooth 1.3.3. All was working fine at this point.

I then upgraded to 10.3 and for some reason the keyboard didn't work, trying to re-pair didn't succeed...

I then ran software update in order to upgrade to Bluetooth 1.4.1, however in order to install the update you need to enter the system password (pretty difficult when you don't have a keyboard) I tried to compose the password in TextEdit (using a mouse and copy and paste) and then paste into the password field, but this wasn't allowed. So out with the USB keyboard, entered the system password and once 1.4.1 was done, all was working fine and has ever since!

Strange problem really.
