Problems with Airport Express
not sure how to proceed...
I am having issues with one of my Airport Express
units.
I was at a conference last week
and having read that the hotel I was in had ethernet internet access I decided
to take my Airport Express so I could have wireless access in my hotel room.
Something I had read that the Airport Express was ideal for but I didn't know of
any hotels with this kind of access.
So
in preparation I saved my current settings (print server, client mode) as a
profile and changed the settings to act as a wireless access point.
At the hotel it worked fine, but in the
end wasn't needed as wireless access was available in the hotel
anyhow.
However when I got back home I
wanted to re-integrate the Airport Express into my home wireless network and
then I have had nothing but
problems.
First I could not access the
Airport Express to change the profile which I put down to conflicts with my home
wireless network, so I did a hard reset, accessed the configuration and selected
my original saved profile and clicked update. I had a green light I could see
the Airport Express in the Airport Admin Utility, however I could not print to
the attached printer, use AirTunes or now configure the Airport
Express.
I then did a factory reset, and
again all seemed normal when I configured, but exactly the same issue I was
having, once configured I could not use the Airport Express, I could see the
Airport Express in the Airport Admin Utility, however I could not print to the
attached printer, use AirTunes or now configure the Airport
Express.
Another factory reset and no
joy.
Not sure where to go from
here.
