Converting eyeTV recordings for use on a PSP

seems to work well with eyeTV 2.1 software, though you do need to rename the files...

When I have used eyeTV 1.8 to convert eyeTV recordings for use on a PSP I have found that it didn't work, so I used Toast.

I recently gave eyeTV 2.1 a go at converting a recording for use on a PSP and it worked!

True you need to rename then, eyeTV doesn't automatically rename them like what Toast does. Though the PSP naming convention is the video file needs to be M4V10, followed by a three-digit number and extension.

Therefore something like this:

M4V10687.MP4
M4V10687.THM

You then need to copy the files to \MP_ROOT\100MNV01\ on the PSP.

The thumbnail files are really just 160x120 .jpg files, so you can change the eyeTV created thumbnail to anything you want by creating a JPG of that size and changing the extension to .THM. Just make sure the rest of the file name matches the video file name.
