Dell are to allow their laptops with integrated 3G
to work with any carrier, the
Register is reporting. This is useful if you already have a 3G data
account and you may have more than one
laptop.
Dell's now-shipping 'super 3G' notebooks, the Latitude D820 and D620, may not be quite as tethered to carrier Vodafone's third-generation mobile phone network as the PC giant has suggested.
I am looking forward to the day when Apple include integrated 3G with their portable Macs.
