Mission Impossible

sending data from a moving train...

Using 3G on a train can be a bit hit and miss, today trying to send a PowerPoint presentation by e-mail certainly felt a bit like the scene from the Eurostar in Mission Impossible and I was also using a PowerBook.

From Bristol to London coverage in terms of GPRS is quite good (just some poor areas) and 3G is okay close to Reading and London.

From Bristol to Birmingham, coverage is poor overall with even GPRS quite patchy.

There is something very geeky about sending e-mail from a train (as well as surfing the web).
