Battery Indicator

As you may already know Mac OS X already has a pretty good battery indicator for the PowerBook (sitting in the Menu Bar), however today, even though I have had the PowerBook for over two years, I found another way of finding how much the battery was charged or required charging - and this is in addition to the orange glow of the power cable!

If you turn your PowerBook upside down whilst it is charging the actual battery has four green LEDs which indicate how much of the battery is charged.




As you can see from this picture it is only charged one quarter (and according to the menu bar the actual figure was 22%).
