Retiring...

after many years faithful service...

I have had this G4 PowerBook now for nearly three years and it has given sterling service all that time.

Except from some flaking paint (well actually quite a bit of flaking paint) from the case it has worked efficiently and effectively.

The main issues why it is being retired and replaced by a newer model are as follows.

1. it only has a 20Gb HDD which is pretty full and the newer model has 80Gb which will make using iMovie (on the move) easier and better.

2. it only has a DVD drive, the newer model has a DVD-R/CD-RW drive which will make it easier to burn CDs and DVDs and allow use of iDVD on the move.

There are speed issues relating to the processor and RAM but though it is being retired I am in fact passing it onto a colleague who will continue to use it.
