Sisters of Battle Immolator

from Simon's collection...

This fantastic Sisters of Battle Immolator is from Simon's collection.

He recently finished it and brought it over when we had a game, so I took a picture using my photographic terrain.

It is a great model and he has done a fantastic construction and paint job.

Limited Edition 40K scale Inquisitor Model (got one)

Inquisitor Lorrmanaged to get one today...

At the beginning of March I mentioned that GW were releasing a limited edition Witch Hunter model that would only be sold in the stores on the 2nd and 3rd April.

Well I didn't think I was going to get one, but I was on my way over to Simon's for a game of Space Hulk and stopped off at the GW store and picked one up.

It is a very nice model and is based on the Witch Hunter model that is available in the boxed set, but has a different weapon (plasma pistol) and is pointing rather than holding a sword.

Personally I think it is a better model.

Now do I paint it, or do I keep it and sell it on eBay in a few years time (or does everyone do that).

Rules are in White Dwarf #304.

Limited Edition 40K scale Inquisitor Model

Inquisitor Lorronly available on the 2nd and 3rd April in the UK and Northern Europe...

Games Workshop are releasing a limited edition 40K scale Inquisitor model to celebrate 30 years of Games Workshop (and it only seems like yesterday was the 25th anniversary).

I quite like the figure and if I have a chance I am going to try and get one.

It is only available in stores in the UK (and Northern Europe) on the 2nd and 3rd April.

Nice Models

in Games Workshop Cribbs Causeway...

Popped into my local Games Workshop store and in the window display area was a very nice Witch Hunters army, complete with Sisters of Battle. Excellently painted and a real inspiration.

Repressor

Forgeworld model...

This is a picture of the Forgeworld Sisters of Battle Repressor that I took at the recent Bristol Conflict event.

Though I do like the Witch Hunters army concept, as I still have quite a bit of work to do on my Daemonhunters army before I even start on a Witch Hunters army. Having said that I have always thought the Repressor is a really nice model and would make a decent transport for Inquisitorial Stormtroopers.

If I do get a Repressor I would probably add extra armour, but use homemade armour using mesh rather than the Forgeworld armour kits.

Also Forgeworld do make nice Inquisitorial doors for the Rhino which would work well on the Repressor.

Sisters of Battle Exorcist

got a close look at Bristol Conflict...

When I was at Bristol Conflict, one of the nice things is the fact you can buy stuff which has not been released yet. One item caught my eye, which was the Sisters of Battle Exorcist.

Though I prefer the Forgeworld version, which looks more militaristic, the GW version has a certain charm and you certainly get a lot in the box.

The side panels are particularly nice and well sculptured.

Now available to pre-order

coming out 27th March...

There is one new Codex which has me as nearly excited (if not more so) than the Daemonhunters Codex and that is the Witch Hunters Codex.

Having see lots of nice preview pictures on the GW website of the new miniatures this looks like it could be another really nice release. The fact that a lot of the models are interchangeable with Daemonhunters means less models to buy.

Looking good, available to pre-order.
