Organic Food Festival in Weston-super-Mare

small and not much food...

Around Weston-super-Mare an organic food festival was quite widely advertised on posters and on the web.

I was quite looking forward to this and though I thought charging for entry (£2.50) was a bit of a cheek for what was basically a shopping experience, I thought I would pop along and see what organic suppliers there were and see if there was anything to buy.

Well I was quite disappointed, I arrived an hour after they started and they were still setting up, and I wish now I had looked at the advertising in more depth, as over half the stands were not organic, but natural living so were things like crystals, solar power, veganism and not much to do with organic.

Riverford (as I expected) were there as was an organic meat company, The Well Hung Meat Company, an organic wine supplier and a couple of others... but that was it.

It was very busy and there was a large queue for the organic bread stand, but it was a very small affair.
