Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix

excellent...

Last night I went to the cinema to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix.

It was an excellent film which I really enjoyed. We saw Dumbledore's Army, and here they are ready for action (in the Room of Requirement).

It was a fast paced film which covers a lot (and as a result it is quite long at 138 minutes). I think it was a real challenge to cover the amount of stuff that is in the book in the film, but as you would expect large amounts of stuff was cut or covered in a single line here and there.

Lots of fantastic British cast in there, alas not many get all the screen time they deserve, but if they did then the film would be at least three times as long.

Alan Rickman certainly stood out for me again as Severus Snape as did Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy. George Harris was excellent as Kingsley Shacklebolt and his line about Dumbledore and style raised a huge laugh in the cinema I was in.

It certainly is quite a scary film and the 12A certificate is deserved and I certainly wouldn't take anyone younger than 12 to see it, the opening sequence with the dementors is enough the scare anyone.

Overall it was an excellent film which I really enjoyed.
