1974 Carter RBS Carburetor Upgrade

I upgraded the old Holley 1940 small bore carb to this "ebay special" Carter RBS from a 1974 Ford Maverick.

The carb as I bought it on ebay- quite dirty but intact. The cable throttle linkage was purchased at a local junkyard for $10. After cleaning and a rebuild kit, it sure looks shiny! Front view of the RBS and the cable throttle linkage. Side view of the installed carb and linkage.
