Born in Delaware... Living in Israel...

October 7, 2004, Rick Jensen will take off from JFK to travel to the Holy Land. Why, you might ask, would he want to go to a war zone like Israel?

Because Israel is not what it looks like on CNN!

You'll hear why some Delawareans made a life-changing decision to move to this beautiful, embattled land. Rick will be visiting the most important sites in Israel, and meeting personally with Israeli government officials, journalists, terror victims, experts on terrorism, education and Arab media.

He'll be broadcasting live from Jerusalem, Monday October 11 through Friday, October 15, at 9:00am to Noon, Wilmington time. You can listen to him on 1150AM and at www.wdel.com on the internet. And of course, you'll be able to call into Rick's show to ask questions and comment! Rick is traveling to Israel under the auspices of the America's Voices in Israel Program.

You'll hear the stories you don't normally hear on the mainstream media such as:

  • Why did Americans, who used to live in Delaware, move to Israel?
  • What do the Palestinians say to each other in their Arabic media, and how does it compare to what we see in English?
  • Where do Israelis go for the weekend, when we go to the beach?
  • What is it like living as an Arab in Israeli-Jewish society?
  • What scientific breakthroughs originated in Israel which make our lives as Americans better each day?
  • What is it like to survive a terror attack?
  • What is it like after your child has been the victim of a terror attack?
  • What happened to the 600,000 Jewish refugees who were forced out of Arab countries after 1948?
