Several years ago a colleague (the video producer/director) and I started what was to become a tradition at our office: the Christmas Video. We got all the people we work with to participate in these productions and then had the world premieres at our annual Christmas parties. After producing three of these videos my colleague found another job, and it's been up to me ever since to conceive, produce, and edit these videos (the video production people do the lighting, sound, and shooting). A few samples are listed below along with some other things I've done.

NASA Liquor (Christmas Video 1997)

The most famous of all Christmas videos, NASA Liquor was inspired by an actual sign that's down the road from Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. We just had to pull over and snap a picture, knowing in our hearts that someday we would find a use for that photo. We produced this "commercial" as part of a live quiz show we did at our 1997 Christmas party.

Christmas Video 2004

This is the trailer and the entire, complete, unedited video we made after we (involuntarily) left the CET. It's a little bitt different than the rest of the Christmas videos, as you will see.

Please note that this is a work of fiction, and any similarity between the characters portrayed in this video and actual persons living or dead is purely coincidental.

Christmas Video 2003

For this video the people of the CET reenacted famous scenes from movies. Here's our little introductory bit and my scene from Casablanca.

Christmas Video 2000

In this zany romp, NASA was in financial trouble and it was up to the good people of the CET to save the day.

Christmas Video 1999

What happens when "technology goes bad"? This year we explored the dangers of a malfunctioning email system. Definitely not for younger or more sensitive viewers.

Christmas Video 1998

Dickens' A Christmas Carol has to be the most spoofed Christmas story of all time. Who are we to buck tradition?

Christmas Video 1996

Fresh from the success of the first Christmas video, we try to deal with our new-found stardom - each in our own unique way.

Christmas Video 1995

This is the one that started it all - Security Camera Confessions. In this clip, we had just discovered a secret security camera and were following the cable back to its source. Hilarity ensued.

BioBLAST® Lunar Landing

BioBLAST was an educational multimedia product that took students on a virtual trip to the moon. It opened with a video of a landing at the lunar base. It took a few takes before we got the video just right. This is one of the takes that we didn't use in the product.
