Description: C. paradisi straight glide |

Additional comments: This snake takes off by pushing from a vertical substrate, as opposed to a J-loop takeoff from a branch. The aerial undulation can be clearly seen, with lateral waves being passed down the body, starting from the head. The snake keeps undulating even after landing on the ground for an apparently seemless transition from gliding to terrestrially locomoting. |
