But follow they did, fused with the worthy talents of Steve Runkle, Jimbeau Walsh, and Tommy Goldsmith. This mighty, mighty, creative rock quintet—the Contenders—quickly developed a loyal following. The 'ders frequently returned to their packed basement "Cavern" known as Hooley's. Excitement always ensued.
