Clay Roses in Custom-Made Containers
 
 
A DIY Valentine's Day project that I undertook in phases.
 
   

I painted the boxes with oil paint and sealed them with lacquer.
A closer view of the "wooden chest" after painting.
I sprayed the boxes lightly with gold glitter. I also lined the interior with velvet.
Creating a rose, petal by petal. I used Sculpey III clay.
Attaching a synthetic stem (with leaves) I purchased from Art Friend.
The final product! I was over-the-moon :)
