Scenes from a shindig



What a marvelous party we had Saturday night! We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful friends. And they somehow squeezed into our apartment! 18 people, one little dog and lots of food and fun. Oh yes, and martinis. And wine. Special thanks to those who brought wine, even though we insisted that we had everything under control. We underestimated the beverage needs!

Oh, and some were asking for the peppermint martini recipe. First, the backstory: Jenny & I wanted to make a "signature" drink, so we thought about a peppermint martini. Our friend Pat sent us some recipes. I wrote down the needed ingredients... and lost the recipes. So I just kinda made it up. So here's what we used:
--Vodka (Tito's , of course!)
--Peppermint Schnapps
--Godiva white chocolate

Nothing was particularly measured-- just some of this, a little of that. Tweak to your heart's content!
