Warning: Potentially embarrassing photos ahead
So I'm lax about updating my blog. My original
blog, that is -- I'm having lots of fun with my other one .
It's kinda funny-- I get blogging, friends start blogging, and then I *have* to
go and start a second one. No real reason, 'cept the LiveJournal one is easy to
update from wor,,, er, anywhere, while this one must be updated from my home
computer. Oh, and I can post photos easily from this one. Which is what I'm
doing now.Behold, photos from this
weekend-- where Jenny's college friends Jessica and Karen came up to visit. For
details on what all happened, visit Jessica's
blog and Pat's
post-game account. All photos were sent by Jessica... and I notice
that she left out a few incriminating ones. Hmm... Anyway,
enjoy!
This one is unfortunately in soft-focus (a
clever term used by professional photogs that really means "out of focus" or
"blurry"). But it's the only one we have with Brook and Manuel together. From
left to right: Me, Jenny, Manuel and Brook (Brook was Jenny's RA in college and
a good friend of Jessica & Karen... Manuel is Brook's husband), Karen and
Jessica. We had lunch at Campisi's before heading out to Fort Worth to visit the
Modern.
Karen, Jessica, Brook,
Jenny.OK, enough of the culture. On to
the evening!
Me, Jenny and Karen at Cuba
Libre before meeting up with the rest of the gang for dinner. (Yes, I
know that's not grammatically correct, but it is in order from left to right, so
deal.)
Leila, Pat and
BritishBeth at dinner. Now, on to the
show... Karaoke at The
Abbey in Richardson!
Jenny & Jessica perform a Reba McEntire
classic, and Pat hams it up on a song I can't
remember.
Karen and Jessica between
numbers.
And since Pat and I were wearing strikingly
similar shirts, we thought it would be a good idea to sing a duet. If I Had a
Million Dollars by Barenaked
Ladies . Note: In the Karaoke book, it's listed as "If I had
$1,000,000." That just grates on my nerves. When I turned in the request, I had
edited it to conform to AP style: "If I had $1 million."
