WeeHQ is a small desktop utility that lets you keep tabs on your Weewar account. It sits unobtrusively in the system tray and is easily accessible no matter what application you're using.

WeeHQ is written in Java and should support any operating system with support for Java SE 6.0 and the System Tray API. This means Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, Solaris and potentially many others are supported. Native executables are available for Mac OS X and Windows to provide a more friendly user experience.

Installation Instructions

Download and Install Java SE 6.0

WeeHQ requires a Java SE 6.0 runtime environment. Sun (the creator of Java) provides runtime environments for many platforms and makes them available here. Apple is the only provider of Java runtime environments for Mac OS X and has only released a Java SE 6.0 runtime for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) on 64-bit Intel Macs, available here.

NOTE: Apple released a developer preview of Java SE 6.0 for Mac OS 10.4 which included support for 32-bit and PPC. If you have that version installed, WeeHQ may work properly.

Download and Install WeeHQ

Download the version of WeeHQ for your platform below. Mac and Windows downloads are native executables in ZIP archives. Once extracted, you can move the file the executable wherever you like and simply double-click it to start WeeHQ. You may wish to have WeeHQ start automatically when you login. You can find instructions for Windows here, and for Mac here. For all other operating systems, a cross-platform JAR file. The file does not need to be expanded, and can be launched from the command line with the following command (assuming the java executable is in your path):

java -jar WeeHQ.jar

Search the web if you need help with your particular operating system, or post a message here.

Downloads

WeeHQ is considered beta quality at this time. It is basically feature complete, but it's still a little rough around the edges. Notably missing is proxy support and documentation. It has undergone minor testing on a few reference platforms, but is not guaranteed to work. Please provide feedback here.
