vintage websites:

  • The Butterfly Net: Originally titled "Alphy's Butterfly Net", this was my very first website, vintage 1996. I added the frames in 1997, but the rest of the design remains unchanged. My last update was in 2000, but that was just to add the random quote generator on the front page. I keep it around for nostalgic reasons. Plus my brother's story in the "Library" is damned funny.
  • Monica's World: (if that link doesn't work, this one should) I made this site in July of 1997 as part of a week-long HTML Summer Youth Program at Michigan Technological University (think summer camp for computer nerds). At that time I was so very excited about using two frames. I just finished re-visiting it for the first time in ages...it looks so ridiculous and the writing is equally ridiculous, but at the time I am sure I thought it was pure genius...or something. Anyway, it's good for a laugh.
  • Moon Over Mackinac: I made this site after my first summer working at "Frank Shama Gifts" on Mackinac Island in 2000. Sort of a glorified online photo album.
  • Sakuravision: This one I built just a couple of years ago, in 2001. I think I added maybe one or two updates before losing interest. I think the graphics and design are cute, though.
  • Fresh & Tasty: The only site here that I am still updating (somewhat) regularly. I started it in the fall of 1999 when I began attending school at the University of Arizona. It contains access to some of my short QuickTime movies and some of my old cartoons.
