Off to New York
Sunset over LA on the way to NYC Inge and I took a red-eye to New York, more precisely Brooklyn, on the way to Ian WIlliams and Tessa Blake's wedding. Since the wedding was actually in a town that is two hours north of the city we crashed at the Bride and Groom's apartment for a night. The red-eye was sleepless, mainly because I had a new Michael Crichton book and am unable to stop reading once I start. Unfortunately there was no one to let us in to the apartment when we arrived at 8 a.m. so we found diner to camp out at for 3 hours while we waited for someone to arrive. We finally got in at 11 and after a well-needed shower we passed out, our exhaustion laughing at the gallons of coffee we had guzzled. We woke up in time to go to dinner with some friends followed by cupcakes at midnight from the Magnolia Bakery in Manhatten. If you've never been, GO!. The desserts are to die for, its always packed, and there is a park across to street in which to enjoy your cookies and milk. |
