Homesick



<glug><glug><glug>aahhhh!

Things I miss about the South:
1) sweet tea
2) BBQ
3) being able to get everything fried if you want it
4) seasons
5) thunderstorms
6) lightning bugs (often referred to by the ridiculous moniker "fireflies")
7) odd sayings like "He ain't got the sense God gave a billy-goat"
8) swimming in the ocean without freezing
9) Manners and Sincerity being the rule rather than the exception
10) my family

This list is actually much longer, but you get the point. The other day we had lunch a little deli in the mall. They sell a bunch of different "micro-sodas". There on the middle shelf of the cooler I saw it...Cheerwine . Yes, direct from Salisbury, NC - a bottle of ice-cold Back-Home. I bought 2 extra to go.
