When i decided to set up the Streets Of Dublin project everyone told me that I must include the U2 Wall as thousands come to Dublin every month to see it.
I like U2 but I could not be described as their biggest fan so while I was aware of the wall I knew very little about its history or location.
I knew that it was somewhere near Windmill lane. One day while photographing various building on the south side docks I came across what I thought was the U2 Wall ao i took a number of photographs which I published on Flickr, you can view this collection be selecting option at the right hand side of this page. A few weeks later I visited a friend in Windmill Lane only to discover that the original wall was beside his apartment block.
