I have posted an article on Beer & Theology. Nobody has been able to explain to me how to justify cross referencing Matthew 18 with I Corinthians 5, including one of the pastors at my church. It's not that I won't accept it, I just want the rationale. Instead, the pastor just told me that he's been to 17 different countries and most churches do it this way.
