fig. a.Hannah and I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things.  Since Karen had the van, Hannah and I had to hoof it.  Actually, I had to hoof it.  Hannah got to ride in the luxury mobile, otherwise known as the double-stroller.  It was sunny, but she had the protection of the canopy.  And daddy got 12 minutes of aerobic activity, which is unusual for a Sunday afternoon.

We arrived at the grocery where, among other things, we picked up a bouquet of roses (see fig. a).  Now, I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but there is a bit of damage to this specimen, as well as some others not pictures.

fig. b.Apparently, daddy wasn't too smart about the seating arrangement of items for the trip home.  Hannah stayed in the original seat, the other items went under her in the convenient compartment, and the bouquet went in front of her.  I figured she'd enjoy looking at them on the trip home.  Some people commented how they thought it was pretty cute.  Unbeknownst to me due to the position of the canopy, she actually had full access to the bouquet.  She gave the flowers quite a once-over during the walk home.

I only realized this when I got her out of the stroller.  She had a mouth-full of tiny petal pieces, not to mention a big smile on her face (see fig. b).

Not that mommy will care too much, I'm sure.  Hannah got to put some finishing touches on the Mother's Day bouquet.  And let's just say this is not the first time she's eaten anything unusual.  At least we can now say she poops rose petals.
