This page contains two sections: "other alt.*" TV newsgroups, and "other national" TV newsgroup hierarchies.
And some groups for TV shows fall out of the alt.tv.* and alt.fan.* hierarchy entirely. Here are some of those:

alt.comics.peanuts Includes discussion of the animated
Peanuts TV specials on CBS
alt.comics.superman Includes discussion of ABC show Lois and

alt.satellite.tv.binaries A group dedicated to the SDS system(?)
alt.startrek.* Hierarchy of newsgroups (including
.borg, .creative, .klingon, .romulan,
.vulcan) which discuss the various
aspects of the Star Trek saga,
includin fan fiction (see below)
alt.startrek.creative Fan-produced fiction, parodies, art,
etc. about Star Trek (old and new)
alt.toys.transformers Discussion of Transformers -- the toy,
the tv show, etc.
alt.toys.transformers.fanfic Fan-produced fiction, parodies, art,
etc. about The Transformers animated
TV shows (e.g. the orginal series,
Beast Wars), and comics(?)
alt.video.* Hierarchy of newsgroups (including
.digital-tv, .sound, .vcr) which
discuss the various aspects of
video technology, including the new
TV format, "Digital TV" (DTV)
alt.video.dvd.* Hierarchy of newsgroups (including
the original alt.video.dvd, as well
as .software, .tech) which discuss the
various aspects of the new DVD
playback/recording video technology
alt.video.tape-trading A specialized video group devoted to the
trading of videos, including
(especially!) videos of TV shows
As of now, a new hierarchy of "us.*" groups are planned, including a us.arts.tv.* hierarchy (so far only us.arts.tv.soaps exists). Right now however, the idea has not caught on and few locations get this hierarchy.

X-Files; created due to the long
time-lag between screenings in the US
and Australia (i.e. no spoilers for

uk.media The general discussion group for British
media, including TV
uk.media.tv.misc The general discussion group for British
TV: the British equivalent of
rec.arts.tv
uk.media.tv.sf.babylon5 The British discussion group for the
syndicated sci-fi JMS show Babylon 5,
shown in the UK on C4 (and sometimes
shown ahead of US audiences, so
*spoilers* may be found there)
uk.media.tv.sf.buffy-v-slayer The British discussion group for the
hit US fantasy-drama show Buffy
The Vampire Slayer shown in the UK on
BBC (NOTE: The UK is behind Canada &
the US, so do not post spoilers here!)

sci-fi space saga, Star Trek, and its
realted TV shows and movies

American sitcoms that air on UK TV
