DISCLAIMER: In general, I only promise to update this page on weekends
(though with Dreamweaver and Mac.com I am finding it much easier to update
this page now, so more frequent updates are certainly possible). After all,
this "TV Shows Status Page" is maintained as a hobby
of mine! In any case, if you know that a TV show has been cancelled, etc.,
that information may show up on this page until the following weekend.

Known Cancelled Shows (in '04-'05):By definition, shows that are "ending their runs" are doing so by mututal agreement among the network, the cast, and the production crew, and generally have "final" episodes (e.g. Friends, Frasier, Dawson's Creek, Buffy, The X-Files, Ally McBeal, 90210, Party of Five, Mad About You, Melrose Place, Seinfeld, etc.); otherwise, they've been cancelled (e.g. Farscape, Spin City, Family Law, The Pretender, Early Edition, Homicide, Ellen, Murder She Wrote, Lois & Clark, Dallas, etc.). Here is the list of the TV shows that are ending their runs after many seasons at the end of the '04-'05 TV year: Shows Ending Run Net. (Comments) ---------------- ---- ---------- Andromeda Syn (Annoucement for 5th season strongly implied that it would be Andromeda's finale season.) (Star Trek:) Enterprise UPN (UPN has officially cancelled it - it appears there will be a 2-hour 'series finale' in May...) Everybody Loves Raymond CBS (The series finale aired on May 16.) JAG CBS (As expected, CBS announced that JAG would end on April 29 with the series finale.) NYPD Blue ABC (Series finale has aired - it's all over!) Queer as Folk SHOW (Entering its final season.) Six Feet Under HBO (Alan Ball is ending the show in 2005, after 5 seasons.) [That 70's Show] FOX (Not anymore! This show has been renewed for '05-'06: without Topher Grace! Don't ask me - it doesn't make sense!) Third Watch NBC (Had a proper series finale, which aired on May 6.) Here is the list of the TV shows from the '04-'05 season that are known to be cancelled. Again, to keep track of such things, shows that are new this season (i.e. this is the show's first season) have been marked in red; shows in "[..]" have not been officially cancelled, but are very likely cancellation targets: ABC CBS NBC --- --- --- 8 Simple Rules 60 Minutes II American Dreams The Benefactor Center of the Universe Committed Blind Justice Clubhouse The Contender Complete Savages dr. vegas Father of the Pride Extreme Makeover Joan of Arcadia Hawaii Extreme Makeover: Judging Amy Last Comic Standing (3) Home Edition - How'd They Do That? Shows Known To Be "In Trouble":This is the list of shows that appear to be "in trouble" (i.e. in danger of cancellation), with the network that the shows air on, and comments. By the way, if you see the word "retooling" next to a show you like, expect the worst, as network "retooling" almost always leads to a decline in the show's quality and usually ends with cancellation. (NOTE: This list is mostly the opinion of this author, as influenced by media reports (e.g. "The LA Times"), and Internet scuttlebutt!) Shows in "Trouble" Network Comments ------------------ ------- -------- American Dreams NBC NBC has officially pulled the plug on AD now. New Mid-Season Replacement Shows:And here is the most up-to-date "mid-season replacement" list, which I will update as new shows start to appear (shows no longer airing, will be indicated in the list; check the "Hiatus" List, as well). For the Fall, I will list any "new" shows that replace early Fall casualties; for spring, any show that has replaced a cancelled show, or that has temporarily bumped an established show into 'hiatus', will be listed. (NOTE: Mid-season shows such as "Yes Dear" will not be listed here, as they are not (technically) "new" shows.
