Known Cancelled Shows:

By definition, shows that are "ending their runs" are doing so by mututal agreement among the network, the cast, and the production crew, and generally have "final" episodes (e.g. Star Trek: Voyager, Walker Texas Ranger, 90210, Party of Five, Mad About You, Melrose Place, Seinfeld, etc.); otherwise, they've been cancelled (e.g. The Pretender, Early Edition, Homicide, Ellen, Murder She Wrote, Lois & Clark, Dallas, etc.).

Here is the list of the TV shows that are ending their runs after many seasons at the end of the '01-'02 TV year:

               Shows Ending Run Network

in the prvious season, but aired this season.)

Shows Known To Be "In Trouble":

This is the list of shows that appear to be "in trouble" (i.e. in danger of cancellation), with the network that the shows air on, and comments. By the way, if you see the word "retooling" next to a show you like, expect the worst, as network "retooling" almost always leads to a decline in the show's quality and usually ends with cancellation.

(NOTE: This list is mostly the opinion of this author, as influenced by media reports (e.g. The LA Times), and Internet scuttlebutt!)

  Shows in "Trouble" Network Comments
  ------------------ ------- --------
All of T-NBC NBC & FOX NBC has already sold out of T-NBC,
& FOX Kids selling it to Discovery; FOX has
sold out "FOX Kids" to 4Kids Entertainment.
24 FOX It's been renewed! (and no retool!).

Ally McBeal FOX It's official: this season is Ally's last!
   Angel WBN It was renewed!
Beastmaster Syn. Unfortunately, it is now officially cancelled!
   Bob Patterson ABC Already cancelled!
   Charmed WBN It was renewed!
Dark Angel FOX At the last minute, FOX reversed itself
                                             and cancelled Dark Angel.
Dawson's Creek WBN It was renewed!
The Education of CBS It's been cancelled!

The Mole II ABC It's been cancelled; but ABC will
                                              show unaired episodes this summer.
Once & Again ABC After abusing the show with numerous timeslots,

Pasadena FOX It's been cancelled! (and it now looks like
                                              unaired episodes will never air...)
Philly ABC The bubble burst: it's been cancelled!

                                              cancellation - it's finally over.
   Special Unit 2             UPN          The change in management at UPN doomed this show;
despite previous full-season pick-up, the show
                                              was suddently and unjustly cancelled.
That's Life CBS It's been cancelled!

Shows Known To Have Been Moved:

And here is the list of the TV shows from the '01-'02 season that will be moved from old times to new timeslots for the Fall 2001. The new airing times are also listed. As stated above, any shows that have been recently added to this list, will be underlined. (Shows will also be 'pruned' from this list after a month or two...)

New Mid-Season Replacement Shows:

And here is the most up-to-date "mid-season replacement" list, which I will update as new shows start to appear (shows no longer airing, will be indicated in the list; check the "Hiatus" List, as well).

For the Fall, I will list any "new" shows that replace early Fall casualties; for spring, any show that has replaced a cancelled show, or that has temporarily bumped an established show into 'hiatus', will be listed. (NOTE: Shows such as "For Your Love" will not be listed here, as they are technically not "new" shows.)
