These sites are perhaps some of the most useful TV-related websites that are out there:

General TV Info & TV Index websites:

The Internet Movie Database:
www.imdb.com
(Headquarters URL)
The "Internet Movie (& TV) Database" (IMDb), which can be reached through the two primary sites:
  1. us.imdb.com (USA)
  2. uk.imdb.com (UK)

In addition, the IMDb has "translated" sites for Spanish, Italian, French, German and Brazilian and Portuguese.

The IMDb is a searchable database (maintained by users) which can be found at (for example) The Search Page (http://us.imdb.com/search.html), and which users can use to obtain the cast of a TV show (or movie), or a list of other roles for actors and actresses (see the rec.arts.tv FAQL, Section 1.4 for more information).
TV Shows on DVD:
www.TVShowsOnDVD.com
The "TV Shows on DVD" Web site...
TV FAQs from
Usenet Newsgroups:

www.faqs.org/faqs/tv/
The TV section of FAQS.org, which includes somewhat complete Web list of usenet FAQ's, including the FAQs for TV shows found in this section. To get on this list, the FAQ's or guides must be submitted to news.answers.
Yahoo's TV Directory:
dir.yahoo.com/News_and_Media
/Television/
The "TV Directory" at Yahoo.com...
CineMedia:
www.cinemedia.org
The "CineMedia" TV site (previously affiliated with the American Film Institute). Contains a large number of links to resources (including sections for TV, TV shows and TV networks), as well as other information (e.g. movies, radio).
